Jeffrey Allen, Associate Professor of Practice at USC Thornton School of Music, is an internationally-known voice teacher, experienced stage performer, lecturer and author.

He has developed a highly sought after vocal training method designed to bring out the unique qualities of any singer’s voice. Through his process of technique and performance analysis, Allen’s pedagogical outreach has an industry-wide appeal that allows him to fine-tune the voices of all styles of singers working on the stage or in the studio. He has also written three books on singing including the revolutionary text, Secrets of Singing, which is used at leading music conservatories, schools and colleges around the world. Jeffrey has taught singing lessons at his Sherman Oaks Studio in Los Angeles since 1980 and has been on the faculty of the USC Thornton Popular Music Program since 2009. His experience as a singing teacher, band consultant and producer allows him unique insights into the problems of singers at all levels.
